From the coast to the western mountains, there is something for every interest.

You could go to Acadia National Park and go to the top of Cadillac Mountain to watch the sunrise.

There are also a bunch of ocean tours as well for lighthouses whale watches etc.

I lived up there for a year in high school. The state is very pretty. I-95 starts in Maine. The Appalachian Trail ends in Maine. I saw a bear up there in the national forest and I saw a Moose on the baseball field at school one morning.

Don't forget Beer Advocates No.1 beer bar in America is in NW Maine, Eberneezer Kezar in Lovell near Kezar Lake, Summer home to Steven King.
