X2 on The Yankee Smokehouse. Best I have ever had. Also there is supposed to be a good one in Bath that was recommended to me but I have not been and can not remember the name.

Go to Bar Harbor go to the Atlantic Brewing Company and right there is a place called Mainely Meats, he smokes all his own stuff. Saturday's are the best all you can eat Ribs, Pulled Pork, Brisket, Chicken, Sausage, Beans, Cole slaw, Potato Salad and corn on the cob - $15

I've always enjoyed Beale Street Barbeque in South Portland.

I really enjoy Bucks Naked BBQ in both Freeport and Windham. Try the 'burnt ends', which is the very ends of the brisket that they prepare.

Beale Street BBQ is awesome, but it should be known that there is another (I think its owned by the brother of the Beale Street guy?) called Riverfront BBQ. It's on water street in Augusta, and I gotta say it is delicious.

There is also a little side of the road shack (and I do mean shack...) in Bethel on rt 2. I can't remember the name of it right now, but its the best BBQ I've had...period.
