My wife and I plan on going.

Besides the rally, people will be coming into town for the marine corp marathon. Your best bet is to find a place outside of DC and use public transportation to come in.

I went to the rally. Good fun had by all. It was a really polite group of 250,000 people.

Darn tootin' it was

I don't think I'll be taking the bus for that long of a trip again though. Bus seats were apparently specially designed to hurt ones neck.

At least you didn't have to take the metro with the accelerating escalator. I used that like an hour before it broke.

It was insane just getting there (hours of waiting in the greenbelt metro station) but completely worth the wait and the trip!

Yup, I almost gave up because the metro system was clogged on the green line. I eventually made it into the city. However I couldn't hear or see anything... Oh well, it was a great crowd of people and I still had a blast.
