Recommend a Place to Camp
I like to make annual camping trips and I'm due this year. I've been to a few State Parks, but since they passed the Alcohol Restriction I'm open to other ideas. Any recommendations from personal experiences?
I prefer tent camping where I'm not looking at my camping neighbors.
Of all the State Parks Rocky Gap has been my favorite, while Elk Neck has been the least liked.

I would suggest Assateague the federal side they still allow alcohol. The only thing is you are close to other campers.

Elk Neck State Park in Cecil County MD is a pretty nice place to Camp. It's where I go when we go camping

If your camping, you dont need running water, or showers. I like Green Ridge.

I second the vote for Greenridge. Unless you're going to be camping for more than a few days and you'd need a shower and stuff.
I'd recommend Harper's Ferry too. My family used to bring our 5th wheel up there all the time. Not sure how the tent camping is though.

While not specifically in MD, we like the Shenandoah. Three big camping areas, lots of hiking trails, and beautiful fall views right now. If you are looking for something different, Point Lookout State Park (at the bottom of St. Mary's county) is beautiful and right on the bay.
