On the other hand, Trails Road in Delta, Pa is a legal 'road' that is not maintained by the township. While there is private property at both ends of the road, just stay on the trail and don't cross the stream and you'll have a great time.
More info please

Greenridge always makes for a good day trip just to get out off pavement. It's especially nice scenery in the spring at some of the overlooks.

There is a Crozet run this spring that I'v just been informed of. Any interest?

Crozet open wheeling weekend 4/9-4/10

Any places closer to southern MD or eastern VA that stock jeeps could handle?

Nope. Unless you can get permission to wheel on private property there really isn't anything close.

Your best bet would be a trip to Assateague Island. It's all beach, but the drawback is the $100 pass for the year. But from you (assuming southern Md) anything is going to be a hike.

Rausch Creek Offroad Park also has a ton of 'easy' level trails if you want to try out mud and/or rocks. It is about 4-5 hours of you; 40 miles north of Harrisburg, Pa.
