My best homebrew was a brown ale. My friend once made a coffee stout by putting a few pounds of coffee beans in the carboy and leaving it in secondary for months. It was one of the best beers I've ever had.

By the way, if anyone wants a quick, cheap way to chill their wort after the boil:
Go to Home Depot and pick up some copper tubing. Get a faucet adapter for one end. Bend several coils into the middle of it with enough left on each end that you can run it from the sink, into your brew pot, and back to the sink to drain. Then all you have to do is plop it into your brew, hook it up to the sink, and run cold water through it.

I like APAs and brew a favorite called Snowy Mountain APA. I got the recipe from Jasper's in Nashua.

Nearing the "ready to try it out" stage of my new electric brewery. Almost done...finally, and that made me curious how everyone brews...stove? Propane turkey fryer? Electric?
