I would imagine that odor has been taken care of. It's generally just a few specific compounds that make bad smells so if they can neutralize or remove them them prior to burning then it should be fine.

I don't think they are burning the poo. I believe it uses bacteria to decompose the poo, producing methane. As far as the smell, I bet it's no worse than putting the poo in a trash container.

Kind of cool. I always like seeing what those folks come up with. Often times it's more about the statement than it is about the functional application.

I think the smell would remind me of a few random places I have been in Mexico. You get used to it after a few days, but as soon as you leave and come back, you know exactly what that smell is...
