Yawn. For over a decade, MA has had average or lower total tax burden compared to rest of US. We also make more per capita and live longer than almost everyone else in the country. Yes, taxes suck. Doing without roads, street lights, police, firemen, hospitals or an educated population sucks more.

We don't use nor seem to need the letter 'R' except when it starts a word! Overall our living costs except for the big cities is still better than most of the country considering what we have all around us.

As for the guys that think Mass. has bad taxation, while I agree. My sister lives on Long Island , NY. Her property taxes are 5 times my own. Not an extravagant neighborhood, nor home. Crazy taxes!!
