I'll second blimpie burger in Ann Arbor - pepper bullet rocks, especially coupled with the fried vegetables.

I've had my share of the "have to have" burgers around town and while I normally avoid chains, I'd say that "Five Guys" is serving one of the best burgers around right now.

I totally forgot about Five Guys. I hit the one on 12 mile and Telegraph if I get anywhere close. You're right, they are great.

East Siders - Check out Club FT on Gratiot in Roseville. $1 gets you a burger and chips and the burger, though not the best ever, is pretty damned good and filling and tastes better than ANY $1 food item I have ever had.

How did you guys miss The Redcoat Tavern on Woodward in Royal Oak? The best burger I've found anywhere.

My wife will proudly second Miller's in Dearborn. Anyplace without a menu or even plates is cool with me.

I'll give a bonus nod to Crazy Jim's Blimpy Burger. Crazy is right. Everyone should experience that place at least once.

Any northern Michigan Bar Burger surpasses any other burgers. The secret has something to do with the old, greasy cooking surfaces.

I liked to stop at Halo Burger, at Deer Run on I-75. I believe that the Vernors ginger ale was first made there, too!

Best burger in GR would be a tie for me.

Cottage Bar VS. Skinny's

Skinny's is a dive on 44th St in Wyoming near Ramblewood apts.
When you go there you have to try the "hangover helper" burger.

Blimpie burger is pretty darn good too if you are on the East side of the mitten.

Brown bear

I'm all with bydand, the brown bear is the greatest burger I have had in a long time. I ate that thing when I was 15 years old and I was king for a day. . . You know, after I could move again. . .
