The U.P.

As far as anyone is concerned, the U.P. is a barren wasteland and has nothing interesting to see..... (as long as people think that, we'll be ok up here ) That way everyone else stays away..... We like our own little piece of heavan around here untainted by outsiders....hahahaha

You can do all those things in the UP! Hockey games may not be NHL, the casino may be an hour drive, the bars may be smaller, and the restaurants spread out a bit, but they are up here!

Th U.P.

Actually, the U.P. is the most pristine, amazing location..... It may not be heaven, but it's really close to.... (at least as far as the beauty of it) as far as jobs....it's pretty pathetic....

I lived in the UP for about 6 years - loved it up there, and I miss it a lot...

I do like being a bit warmer during the winter though, and have found I've become a wimp when it gets below 40 nowadays!

buick - love your pics, thanks for posting those...absolutely beautiful!!

We had this know-it-all in college that once blurted out, on a UP conversation in class, that he just loved Pasties. This brought out a lot of laughter until I brought down the house and said that "They're good eating too ... But don't you mean Pastys" !!!

Did he pronounce it pay-stees? If so then that's hilarious. The plural is spelled pasties though.
