Shooting ranges in Twin City area

Only place I know is Bill's Gun Shop. Which is nice enough, but pricier than I'd like, ammo is expensive enough already. Suggestions?

Most of the good ranges are outdoors. Beaver Brook in E. Bethel and Minnetonka Game and Fish both have shotgun, rifle and pistol ranges. Membership required. Monticello has a good facility if you want to go that far.

Are any of these locations affordable for a University student?

I pickup ammo from Walmart and bring it to Bill's, but I get Government employee discount.

Bill's North in Lexington is a nice range. Also, Metro Gun Club in Blaine is trying to build a new indoor range. Not sure about the progress on that, though.

+1 although they are a summer/outdoor only range I believe. That's the only time I've been there I guess.

Bill's is okay if you just need to get in some quick practice rounds but definitely bring your own ammo. Stupid to pay the markup.

I go to the Bill's up on 35W near Blaine. Used to be called Armored Fire. Nothing special but it works.
