I would like to plan a tour of the U.S.A.

I grew up in Corinth, MS. That is the only area you can find slugburgers. They are very tasty (as opposed to the way they sound) and cheap!

Slugburger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stop at the White Trolley on Hwy. 72 in mid-town Corinth and ask for a regular cheese slug (cheese, mustard, onion, and patty). They can't be beat!

During the summer months, it may be hot and muggy here, but at least there's no breeze! Haha

Seriously, Mississippi is a really pretty place with incredibly beautiful women! Casinos on both ends of the State (and on both sides, in the middle), full of Civil War history, charming small towns, and some of the friendliest people you'll find anywhere in the world! Need any more reasons?

don't forget the longest man-made beach (it extends the entire state from La to Al)
plus the few barrier islands including ship island which has a fort and tourist transportation

great fishing, even without a boat, there's many piers or you can simply wade fish rock piles, or flounder with a gig at night in the late summer months

great local seafood and seafood restaurants

I'm a military brat and when my dad retired we moved back to Clarksdale, MS where my mother was from.

Clarksdale is about 60 miles south of Memphis, TN. Like this poster said it has a good blues club and museum and some of the best BBQ in the U.S. The place is called Abe's and it's near the "crossroads" where a blues player is rumored to have sold his soul to the devil for some mad guitar skills. I'd order the Big Abe pork BBQ.

I have lived all over this country and I love Mississippi. Great parks, food and friendly people.

The Trace is a good place to see some sites. Also, there are several good locations around Grenada Lake for the Civil War buffs. Tupelo if you are an Elvis fan. Clarksdale for some Blues. What are you interested in?
