I second Shakespears in COMO. Also, I haven't made it there yet, but a new place opened up called Red and Moes. I've heard great things. They're going for traditional Italian style pizza.
It's been a while since I checked in sorry guys.
One thing I can tell is that a lot of you must have went to Mizzu, cause Shakes just keeps popping up on the list.
I haven't heard of Red and Moes, so It goes on the list.
Pi is my favorite - thick or thin. Shakespeare's also holds a special place in my heart.
Edit: I almost forgot about the pulled pork & bacon pizza at Schalfy Bottleworks. Most people don't think pizza when they think of that place, but it is VERY good.
I had high expectations for Pi, but it just didn't seem to meet me there... But...If somebody else is paying I'm in...
I went to Schlafly Bottleworks last week because of your post and I have to say their pizza was excellent. I had pepperoni, bison, onion and roasted peppers, definatly better than a lot of pizza joints.
Love the thread. I want to throw out a correction - in Jeff City an earlier poster referred to Pizza Quick, it's actually spelled Pizza Kwik - useful because the place is a dive and could be hard to find otherwise. Really good, cheap, thin n crispy pizza.
Has anyone had the pizza at Cicero's in the Loop? It's absolutely delicious, and they have great beer and ambiance.
I recently had the pizza at the Schlafly Bottleworks, and it's really good, too. Highly recommend their BBQ pulled pork pizza, because their pulled pork is really great.
I'll also second recommendations on Pi, Black Thorn Pub, The Good Pie, Fortel's, Dewey's, and Shakespeare's in CoMo. They're all quality places, but my favorite is Cicero's pizza, even though I've only been there once.
I couldn't ever find "PizzaQuick", it popped right up with "PizzaKwik". Thanks.
I've never been to Cicero's so it's on the list.
I did Schlafly Bottleworks last week due to yours and ZooKeeper's recommendation, and it was excellent. I should have it posted on the blog this week.
