Fort Morgan or Dauphin Island Area for Spring Break?

My family has taken spring break down on the Alabama gulf coast for, well, about as long as we have lived here. We were regulars on Dauphin Island before the storm, and afterwards we shifted over to the Fort Morgan area. In the aftermath of the spill, we're trying to decide what to do this spring.

We're not into the touristy stuff, we just want to rent a house and spend some quiet time at the beach. What recommendations do you have as to which location is in better shape?

Of the two areas you mentioned; the impact from the spill was about the same. So, its your preference.

I was on South Padre Island during the spill, I have yet to suffer illness from it. Just throwing that out there.
