What's the best thing about Montana?

I hear the state is absolutely beautiful.

Where is the best place to visit if you, like me, have never been?

I wanna hear some locals input!

in all seriousness, Montana is hard to discribe with words. Glacier National Park is beautiful, you can drop right into yellowstone. its really just a place you can dissapear in.

The people are great, a must see is the Little Big Horn Battle Field.

geography, outdoors recreation, people... but honestly, everything.

edit: I agree with jeepcache, it's difficult to put into words. I had tried explaining it to my girlfriend, but she couldn't truly understand until she visited.

Best things about Montana IMO:

You can ride your dirt bike or quad on the streets
NO SALES TAX
Inexpensive good meals at most restaurants
Most everyone is polite and not arrogant or upset if you ask for help with something
The terrain is awesome! You can go from flat to steep mountains with a little bit of a drive

My family loves the Flathead Lake area North of Missoula.

I don't live there, but visit occasionally. Kalispell is a great place.

Freedom. It may sound stupid, but you really have a lot more freedoms in Montana than any other state I've lived in.
