You're scarin me dude. I loved dancing and really only discovered how much Western dancing in my early 40's.

I haven't tried in years and I'm unsure how good my balance is. No more cowboy boots either, my feet are too tender these days.
On the plus side I do have a lovely Argentine lass trying to find work in the NW.

When I was hit by a layoff I made the 160 mile trip to my ballroom every day for a week. By then both pairs of boots had bloodstains seeping thru the leather.

He who would learn to fly one day must first learn to stand and walk and run and climb and dance; one cannot fly into flying.
Friedrich Nietzsche

I would believe only in a God that knows how to Dance.
Friedrich Nietzsche

I do not know what the spirit of a philosopher could more wish to be than a good dancer. For the dance is his ideal, also his fine art, finally also the only kind of piety he knows, his "divine service."
Friedrich Nietzsche

Never trust spiritual leader who cannot dance. ~Mr. Miyagi, The Next Karate Kid, 1994

Dancing faces you towards Heaven, whichever direction you turn. ~Terri Guillemets

Dancing in all its forms cannot be excluded from the curriculum of all noble education; dancing with the feet, with ideas, with words, and, need I add that one must also be able to dance with the pen? ~Friedrich Nietzsche

To dance is to be out of yourself. Larger, more beautiful, more powerful. ~Agnes De Mille

Remember, Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but backwards and in high heels. ~Faith Whittlesey

I don't want people who want to dance, I want people who have to dance. ~George Balanchine

Stifling an urge to dance is bad for your health - it rusts your spirit and your hips. ~Terri Guillemets

I do not know what the spirit of a philosopher could more wish to be than a good dancer. For the dance is his ideal. ~Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche

To watch us dance is to hear our hearts speak. ~Hopi Indian Saying

Socrates learned to dance when he was seventy because he felt that an essential part of himself had been neglected. ~Source Unknown

"Without music, life would be a mistake."
? Friedrich Nietzsche

"We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once."

Great information here, blucher.....sounds like you were hooked as I was......
I have developed neuropathy in my feet and have definitely become unsteady,
but still have fond memories of dancing ......and, my boots don't fit anymore,
either..but, I did dance throughout my 60's, as this is when we were still traveling.......
I always liked the ballroom and latin dances most, but they were doing mostly
western dancing at the campgrounds....couldn't lick 'em, so I just joined them......
learned all the western couples and line dancing and even took up "Square Dancing",
which is also great fun...even taught some western dancing at the campgrounds....

And, good luck with helping the Argentine lass find employment!
