With all the hatred for Obamas health care plan, and for medicare and disability insurance SSI and all it's flaws, I was just curious, what you would propose....... as a replacement to our current federal government systems, to help those who can't afford health insurance not offered through a persons work, and also for those with chronic illnesses such as MS, UC, Parkinsons disease etc, and lastly, how would you deal with addressing the issue of pre existing conditions, whether it dealt with the insurance aspect or whatever. How would you deal with extending healthcare to all who wanted it, but can't swing it? I'm not talking about simple soundbytes of ignorant opinion, but cognitive solutions that you feel should or could be implimented, with as much detail as you can supply. This should be interesting!
The republicans just bitch about things, don't actually do anything, except make war. When Obama started on Libya, they get pissy he didn't ask them if it was ok to do what they wanted to do anyway. Always complaining.
Being neither a Bushican nor an Obamacrat, I suppose what I would have liked to have seen is a plan or series of plans that set up a government healthcare insurance plan. This would be a pay what you can, % of total income perhaps. Sort of a socialistic idea, I suppose but what the hey. It could possibly be an offer to the 4 yr. college amnesty thing for aliens or for government loans reqs., to have doctor residency programs as part of it. Also, welfare program that one needed to offer for hand outs, with service, (skills, etc.,) and each would pay in this way . . so many hrs time donated for this or that. Nothing comes for free and nothing should be given for free, the disabled is a different story. But the things that ticked me off with the lastest healthcare thing was 1. the back door Chicago/Capone tactic it was shoved down my throat with and 2. the way I, already, having to drop dental and vision from MY healthcare plan because of costs, still have that money saved by dropping those, grabbed away because of a 10% increase due to the new "Obamacare". NOW, I 'm a broke @ss, TOOFLESS, blind flocker that's PO'd too.

We have medical facilities tied to population density which makes sense till you understand that rural healthcare is all but nonexistent for many.
There are programs intended to alleviate this but few takers. This year the programs have no money at all. I only know this because my friend heads the surgical trauma team of a large Buenos Aries hospital (city of 13 million).
She has worked in LA in the past and she and her daughter are in danger from her criminally insane brother.
She is in her mid forties but in the US they require a doctor to repeat their residency except in rural healthcare. That leaves her with no options much like the folks in much of my thinly populated state.

MIAB, what sent hackles up my spine was your quote, "to help those who can't afford health insurance..." I feel bad but this is exactly what got us in trouble in the first place.
Yep, make others pay, I guess that is the American way. Just like homes, foreclosures, welfare, banks, cash for clunkers, free education for underpriviledged, etc.
With a system like this, what incentive is there to go out and live a productive life? If I want a new car, I buy a new car with the hard earned money I made. If I want good medical, I pay with the hard earned money I made.
Right now, I pay 1/5th of my monthly salary to provide my family good healthcare, using my hard earned money. I don't ask for assistance, I don't demand assistance, and I take care of my own.

This is open to everyones interpretation, but I was just meaning that how do you propose to make healthcare affordable to those in a high risk bracket such as late 50 somethings, early 60 somethings with age related health issues who might be making minimum wage or close to it with no insurance offered through work. These days, what with the incredibly rediculous high cost of gasoline, food and shelter, it's becoming increasingly difficult to survive, let alone buy into such luxuries as affordible health insurance, especially where pre existing conditions, that dirty little phrase that haunts so many of us Americans these days, really dink you? As a spouse of someone who was banned from affordable health insurance, because of UC, we now so warmly embrace her medicare insurance coverage, because it finally leveled the playing field, and Obamas health plan, for all its pitfalls, still allowed my wife to for the first time ever, to pick up an insurance supplimental for an affordable sum of money, on account of the ban on pre existing conditions exclusion. I was just wondering on that front, I mean genuine people fitting the criteria outlined, how would you clear a path for them to gain access to affordable health coverage?
I can't even make groceries and fuel affordable but it's not a problem for government to resolve except to get out of the way and cease its interference and meddling. The constitution does not have a "nanny state" clause.

As someone else mentioned earlier...... Spoken like a true republican!
