Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) has a thing for John Wayne. In an interview yesterday with Newsmax, she said she wants to live in “John Wayne’s America.” And in the Iowa town of Waterloo today, where she announced her presidential candidacy, Bachmann told Fox News, “John Wayne was from Waterloo, Iowa. That’s the kind of spirit that I have, too.” But unfortunately for historically challenged Bachmann, as the Washington Times points out, the John Wayne born in Waterloo is John Wayne Gacy, the notorious serial killer who murdered 33 teenage boys and young men, not the iconic Western actor. I just hate to point out that Obama thought he had been in 57 states because people do make mistakes. And poor Joe Biden has an historic level of gaffes, but who is counting?
If something like this happened somewhere else in real life, it would be laughed about amongst everyone. In politics, its a testament of your intelligence.

Maybe to you. Presidents are very busy people. Michelle is a nobody, without a brain to speak of. I lump her in with Sara Palin. Nuff said!
We actually have given neither of these ladies a chance but Obama has had his chance and missed it. Actually with any administration it's the advisers that run the country. Obama picked his advisers from left of left.
