Interesting Minimum Wage Facts

The current U.S. population is about 317 million of which some 144 million are employed. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, among those paid by the hour, 1.6 million Americans earned the prevailing federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour in 2012. (The data for 2013 hasn’t been released yet.) Of these, 484,000 are aged 16 to 19.

The dumocrats never mentioned that their great concern is only for some 1.1% of the workforce.

Many places pay 10 to 15 cents above minimum so they can truthfully claim that they don't pay minimum wage.
