I say "screw Simpson" When he's ready to give up his healthcare that I pay for, as well as you, then who the hell is he to talk about others finally gaining access to healthcare. He's clearly biased because the general consessus is that the Afoordable Care Act will save the government millions. You know?.......... The republicans have done nothing to help the unfortuneate to gain healthcare. They're just pissed because MILLIONS of POOR UNPREVILLEDGED folks have now joined the insurance coverage country club that was reserved for only the well to do. The law stands now, so people like Simpson, better get used to it.

The Republic of the United States of America 1776 - 2012. 236 years. Not a bad run for an experiment in freedom and personal responsibility. The theory was that a republic would last about 200 years before the populace learns it can vote for politicians who will give them any and everything in return for their vote. In our case, I guess it's true.
In the beginning, only the property owners who paid the taxes were the ones given the right to vote. Now anyone over the age of 18 who hasn't committed a felony has a say in who leads us. And last week was the culmination of a plan set in place to make us all dependent on the government, and keep those in power who promise to take from the producers to give to the takers. We officially have more people interested in having the government look after them than there are those who want to be left alone to pursue happiness on their own.
Sorry George, Thomas, James and John, but we couldn't keep it going any longer. The desire for "free" healthcare and other "free stuff" is now stronger than a desire for freedom and self determination. We put up a good fight, but we weren't enough to outnumber those who say "make us your slaves, but feed us."

The original framers of the constitution were a bunch of white men who owned slaves. These guys were all opportunists. They believed that everything belonged to them. Too bad there weren't some real Christians among the group. Little by little, the poor and disabled are getting what's owed them. We need more taxes on the extreme wealthy, and socialized healthcare for all. THEN..... will America be a truly free country!
