Surviving Obamacare

The books are out,and the lawyers will be advertising soon. It seems that we always need protection against our government and must pay for help?
Quote:
Are You Prepared to Survive ObamaCare?

Warning: What You Don't Know About ObamaCare Could Hurt You . . .

As an American, the ramifications of ObamaCare will soon hit you ? whether you are retired or still working, unemployed or a business owner, robustly healthy or suffering from some pre-existing medical condition.

For better or worse, the Supreme Court has ruled President Barack Obama's Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act constitutional; major provisions of the Act are set to start shortly.

The only reasonable course of action now is to be prepared for the big changes coming, because these changes will hit ill-prepared Americans hard.

These changes will not only affect how much your health insurance, medical treatment, and prescription drugs will cost you and your family . . .

They will also affect the type and quality of healthcare you can expect to get in the near future. Shockingly, 40% of doctors plan to stop practicing clinical medicine under ObamaCare. Plus, with 30 million more Americans becoming insured healthcare users ? and far fewer doctors ? you can expect long waits to receive treatment from doctors who are pressured to see more patients per day.

Get ObamaCare Survival Guide Only $4.95 (plus s/h) With This Special Offer!

And when it comes to deciphering how your health and your bank account will be impacted by ObamaCare, it's like the blind leading the blind out there . . .

Dick Morris:
"If you really want to find out how ObamaCare affects you, your family, your business, there is just one book to read ? The ObamaCare Survival Guide by Nick Tate. It reveals the shocking impact of this radical plan."
Because, while ObamaCare will affect each and every American, very few have actually waded through its 2,700 pages of legal mumbo-jumbo to translate what these new rules and regulations will mean to your everyday life.
Now anytime you head out to an uncharted destination, you'd best take a map and a compass with you.

Fortunately, that's exactly what you'll find in the ObamaCare Survival Guide, a new book written in simple language by award-winning journalist and health author Nick J. Tate.

The book's publisher, Humanix, wants you to become a more informed healthcare consumer, so you can not only survive ObamaCare, but make it work for you ? not against you.

Even Donald Trump has praised ObamaCare Survive Guide and encourages every American to read it: "The ObamaCare Survival Guide is terrific ? must read for anyone who is worried about getting good healthcare for themselves or their employees."

That's why the publisher has allowed our readers to get this $19.95 book ? the ObamaCare Survival Guide ? for only $4.95 with this special offer (plus s/h). You save over $10!

This from my insurance company,
Quote:
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) covers more people, and that?s a good goal. But it comes at a cost. With eight new taxes and fees, requirements for all policies to cover more services such as maternity coverage, and more sick people in the insurance pool, premiums for many consumers will rise. But the changes will affect people in different ways, with subsidies offsetting the costs for some. To learn more about health reform, visit NCHealthReform.com.
BCBS advises that insurance premiums will rise and with subsidies offsetting costs for some guess who will pick up that tab, the 50% that pay taxes!

This might be worth a peek seems that two-thirds of uninsured adults ? the very people the law sets out to help ? say they still don?t know what it means for them. two-thirds of uninsured adults ? the very people the law sets out to help ? say they still don?t know what it means for them. So, how do they find out, hire a lawyer, buy a book, or maybe just call RJ for assistance? http://capsules.kaiserhealthnews.org...nd-health-law/

If all other factors remain the same, why would that be a stupid statement? More money has to come from somewhere (there IS going to be more cost). It's either going to be subsidies or premiums, right? Even if somehow the statement is incorrect, I do see where one would think premiums would go up.

Start with a pool of 10 people. 9 are well, 1 is sick. 10% are sick, but the pool is working.

Add 9 sick people. We've increased the number of sick people by 1000%, so you'd suggest that everyone's premiums are going to skyrocket. Except that we've added not just those 9 sick people, but also 81 healthy people. We now have 100 people total, but we still have just 10% who are sick.

(Incidentally, this second pool benefits from economy of scale, so it's actually better off than the first pool, even though the ratios of healthy to sick are the same)

The fact is that the main reason people don't buy health insurance is that they are generally healthy and don't receive enough of a benefit from it to justify paying for it. That's simple market economics: you only buy a product if you would benefit more from the product than you would benefit from the money you pay for the product. Otherwise, you keep your money.

Obamacare forces these generally healthy people into the pool. They will tend to lower everyone else's premiums, not raise them. So, what we will actually get isn't going to be 9 sick and 81 healthy, but more like 3 sick and 87 healthy.

All that adds up to a contrary claim being the stupidest thing I read yesterday.

I see, you are going under the assumption that more "healthy" payers are being added than "non-healthy" non-payers...... Hmm... I sure hope you are right!

One thing that may or may not effect it is that I'm willing to bet that of one payer and one non-payer being of the same health the non-payer will incurr a larger portion of the overall expenses...

That was the whole point of the individual mandate when it was proposed by a conservative think tank in the 1980's to stave off single payer.

Not "will incur" - they are already incurring those expenses. They're going to the ER, being treated, being charged, the hospitals are writing off those charges as losses and sending the bills to paying customers. We're already paying for those people, and we're currently letting them off the hook. The individual mandate is designed to body slam these irresponsible bastards.

what an efficient even if complex program that is similar to what every other developed country has that keeps millions of americans from going bankrupt in old age and allows them to get medical treatment that the "free market" would not provide, especially at a price most americans will have set aside at that age?
