what is with the right's hatred for education?, equating it with blockbuster sounds like a sore loser who realized what a value an education would have been and then has to put it down to feel better.
It is weird how much the right has been pushing this lately, like it's almost dissalowed to say college is beneficial, sure if you want to drive a truck or do construction labor type of work then no it won't help much if at all, but any of the jobs in Technology or business will need some form of college education to really get ahead.
I wonder if these people are one of those 40-50 year old cashiers or stocking employees at a retail store who are now bitter because all the college help that has moved on through is now making 2-3 times what they are while half their age.

I think that he is refuting the idea that "society" has a shared responsibility to raise a child.
It is the parents' responsibility.
And on a sidenote, I think it is a bad idea to have children outside of wedlock. If there are any commonalities in poverty and crime that is one of them.
