That first hole, where the yellow CJ got stuck, is still there and still a mud bog. Every year, even this last dry summer. Go figure.
And the pond where you turned around? Good idea. If you don't know where the road goes through there, you WILL be swimming. Look for the built JK in this link (below) from our 2010 Ride Around the Park. In a couple photos, you will see that even with low water, you need to pick the right line. For perspective, it is 4" of lift on 37" tires.
It also snowed that day, and it was an outstanding day of wheeling. Mine is the black Sahara (with "splash" graphics on side, was there when I bought it, no hatin' lol), dinky one of the bunch at 2" lift and 31" TSL's, which more than make up for lack of lockers.
