Has any one here been by Kevin Smith's comic book shop Jay and Silent Bob's Secret Stash? I love all things Kevin Smith, except Jersey Girl, and would love to talk to some one whose been there or met him.

I've been there many times, in high school my friends and i used to go to red bank just to hangout infront of the store(Jay and S bob style). I've also met smith a couple times, once in the store and the other time was when they were filming Jersey Girl in Highlands. My uncle used to be the burough admin, and i got to check out the set while filming. George Carlin was the nicest out of everyone.

I've actually been there twice for times he has closed the shop down for a 30 person poker tourney that he plays with. Most down to earth awesome guy from the celebrity world I have ever met.

To watch for games (though he hasnt had one in a while) you have to follow his message boards.

Never been to the store, but I'm a huge fan. If you're not already, you should listen to Smodcast and the other podcasts he puts out.

I've never met the real Kevin Smith... however... my best buddy Bob looks identical enough that on halloween he plays the part and just stands against the wall. People have actually asked for autographs.

His shop closes early... about 5pm.. that's when the high school kids want to visit his shop. Not a good business move I think. LOL

Always stop by when I head back to NJ. It's come a long way from the small shop they used to have.
