Best BBQ in NYC

Fette Sau in Brooklyn is great. They sell everything by the quarter pound and I like the picnic bench seating. Is there anywhere else that is good? I haven't found any good Carolina style...

Hmmm, can't say that New York and BBQ go together very well. After four years of living there, I can't really think of a single great place. Definitely NOT Dallas BBQ. Now Korean BBQ is a different story. Quite a few good places in Flushing and Bayside.

Best BBQ in NYC

B B Q Restaurant
132 2nd Avenue @ East 8th Street
NY, NY

May not be for the connoisseur, but prices are good and the helpings are huge. Also great for a half chicken take out.

I was born & raised in Austin, Texas - so I do know GOOD bbq...but sadly, NYC is struggled (at best) to provide it.

Brother Jimmy's is my favorite so far. I haven't tried Dinosaur BBQ - but I hear they're pretty good. Hill Country is a bit of an atrocity as far as I'm concerned. They purport to have "authentic Texas bbq", but it's definitely NOT anything close to what you'd actually get anywhere in Texas...ESPECIALLY Central Texas.

As a Texan (that title will never change I would love to hear any other ideas about bbq here in NYC.

ps - if any of y'all are in Austin looking for good bbq, DEFINITELY go check out County Line BBQ on the Lake (County Line Home). SERIOUSLY amazing stuff!
