Great places for Food in Manhattan - New York City, New York

hey, guys, im heading to new york soon, around the Manhattan area and the only restaurant i remember was MAMA MEXICO, which was really good btw, so my question is what are pretty good restaurants in manhattan, (incl hole in the wall places) not super expensive but reasonable

Nyonya's is very good! It is Malaysian Cuisine. Nice portions for the price.
They squeeze the juice fresh, right there! Pineapple, Watermelon, even coconut! And you get to drink straight out of the coconut and watermelon =o)

If you like mussels then you will want to check out Jacques Brasserie on 85th St. and 3rd Ave.

absolutely the BEST Italian food in NYC is a place called Numero 28 down in the East Village (on 2nd Ave between 11th & 12th Streets). i've taken several people there - and several who have lived in Italy said it's better than any restaurants they ate at in Italy.

go - and ask for Luigi (the owner/manager)...and order his favorite pasta and pizza. the pasta has a white truffle oil sauce that is AMAZING.
