Striper Fishing Hudson Valley

I haven't been striper fishing since moving back to the area several years ago. Where are some good places to go along the shore in the Hudson Valley area? What are the good times of year?

Thanks

The stripers run up the Hudson River during the month of May. If you're fishing from shore, herring or eels are the best bait. Depending on where you are there are different size and creel limits. I think the demarcation is the GW bridge. Above the bridge they have to be 18" or better. below I think its 24" or better, but I think the regs are gonna change again this year. Also you now need a special Marine fishing license, in addition to the regular state fishing license to fish in the Hudson.
