I have lived in ND all my life. Most of the towns have very good education systems. Bismarck is a very growing community (but took a couple of hits with a couple of manufacturing plants closing). Minot is growing and is very intergral to the new oil boom in the Bakkan Formation.

The best fishing is on Devils Lake, IMO.

I think that is just a perception of where you have been the longest. I lived in Bismarck (don't forget the 'c') for 20 years of my life and Minot seems very awkward and desolate to me. Though I am sure it has changed some since the oil boom. I'm sure if I lived there, I would get used to it.

I live in Lincoln, a 'burb' outside of Bismarck. I love it! It's easy in and out of Bismarck. Plus housing is cheaper outside the city.

I've lived in many towns across the state, and I like all of them. It really just depends on what you like to do.
