Anyone else named after a city? - Off Topic

Or am I alone? I know Austin is a regional, but I here it more and more. Any one have a city name that's different? Do different states name there kids after locations, or is Texas alone? I had a friend named Dallas growing up.

i once knew a kid named salem. oregon has more cities named after people then the other way around...

So then I am still alone. Arghh. My Brother was named after a county. People here our names and laugh. It's pretty sweet.

Got a friend named London and I went to high school with a Dallas.

No, the city was named after that guy, I was named as a homage to the city, my parents did not know Stephen F. Austin, nor did they hold any reverence for him.
