WTF, why is this a poll?
It's supposed to be an argument on the classification of Cheesecake.
Is it a cake, or is it a pie?

If one were to make a cheese pie what would it look like

Wouldn't a nacho cheese cake make for an interesting treat!

it's amazing how a small punctuation error can steer a thread in a different, unintended direction.

There are two major schools of thought on this, and then a few independent factions that are just nuts.

If it's the cheap, non cooking in a pie plate with crust it is a pie.

If it's in a spring form, allowed to rise and baked accordingly, it's a cake. The use of all purpose flour, having a self rising agent in it, says it's cake.

Cookie.

Guys it's called cheese cake not cheese pie. Although cheese pie give me the images of cheese just melted into a pie, and that would be great.
