I don't know about everyone else, but it seems to me that people have less free/down time then in years past. Sure seemed to me that my parents and grandparents had more time, but as a kid that could be you just don't see that.

I know they worked hard and were always doing this or that, but it just seemed that they had more time for other things beside work.

Well, work and school eat up most of my time. Jeeping and being outdoors eat up the rest.

Beer drinking . . . Oh wait...

Let's see, in no particular order..

Jeeps (although I haven't been wheelin' in a while)
Guns/reloading
Ham Radio
Photography (no photoshop)
Working on, and riding a 1984 V45 Magna
A little drumming
Some RC stuff, a mini rock crawler, launching rockets
Camping/fishing/outdoors WHEN IT COOLS DOWN!
I also do all the cooking...

I tie most everything I do in with my 6 year old boy.

I feel you on this one except mine has recently been trying to get a few hobbies as she doesnt do anything other than work and sit around the house. Recently bought her a pistol to shoot with me even though I have like 8 firearms and I'm starting to collect older russian rifle two of which are my most recent purchases, one being a 1929 91/03 and the other not actually Russian but the Romanian PSL-54c.

Try to get your wife into those hobbies with you, its helped me out.

I have a few,but tend to focus on one or two at a time.
Guns:These have taken a large part of my time/money over the last 2-3 years.
I like buying Marlin 22s and old milsurp rifles on the cheap and refinishing them.
I also have a soft spot for oddball guns.
Cars:I have 2 old cars that are in a garage across town as I don't have room for them here and because of the hobby above I have little left over to devote to them.My '65 Belair is in running driving condition but has been sitting for 17 years and needs some updating and paperwork to be put on the road, the other is a 65 Chrysler Newport that needs a ground up,but is solid.
Motorcycle:Have a 93 Heritage that is going to get calipers and a carb jetting this winter,Sold my Yamaha Vstar last year so at least I don't have to worry about that one.
Still miss it though.
Small engines:I actually make money doing this on the side so I won't complain about it.
Reading:I'll read whatever catches my fancy,I usually read 2 books at the same time while ballancing the above nonsence.
