Heck, Springs been doing fine here in OR for over a month. Last year Winter ended on 1/10/10 and this year it warmed up starting 1/11/11 (auspicious?)
Unfortunately the Pacific held at least one more shot of cold which will drop the nights into the thirties. It's still 65 degrees in an apartment heated only by a TV & a puter. You don't even need orange golf balls since snow is scarce as hen's teeth between the mountains.
