Long ago I had a primitive tent (and equipment) ? no bottom, no side curtains ? only a tarpaulin folded in two ?
one morning I woke up near a river, my white t-shirt was covered with many bloody spots because of too much mosquitoes bites ?
it is my worst story ?

Sounds like you've had great fun over the years....I know "camping"....
we used to do it frequently, but definitely not as much as you, while
we were in the "Boy Scouts of America" and other times while fishing
our local river (The Greenbrier River)......used to do all the Boy Scout
"stuff"......making fires with flint and steel, tying various knots with rope,
and did have a "tent" we slept in......always thought those were great
times....but, after HS graduation, joined the USAF and then college...
kinda' got away from that kind of camping......after retirement, we
camped in a "pop-up" camper, then a travel trailer and later a
motorhome, which we traveled around the US for 5 or 6 years before
purchasing a permanent home and stopped the "camping type" travel...
hope you have a great time during your next trip......be sure to take a
camera and share some of your country with us....we'll be glad to do
the same for you.......
