I have never been selected . . . been called a few times but always manage to get kicked off for one reason or another. guess they don't like nose pickers Anyways, they're giving me another chance Thursday morning bright & early. I think it would be kind of interesting maybe to learn a little about the judiciary system. We'll see what happens.

I did it once and really enjoyed it. Since I was in LE for 25 years, I was exempt, but since I'm retired, I'm expecting a letter any day now.

they pay a whopping 12 bucks a day . . . . I've already talked to my broker about expanding my portfolio in case I'm picked.

Darn, when I was on JD some 30 years ago, I was only paid $5.00 per day. With the money they pay now, I can't wait until they pick me. Woo-hoo!

My wife got picked a few years ago for a federal case. Lasted all summer and she didn't even stay till the end of the case because we were getting married and already had plans for our honeymoon. She told them that when they picked her but they didn't care. She was getting a couple hundred a week, plus parking and travel expenses. It worked out great for us since she was a substitute teacher at the time and didn't have an income during the summer. Plus the courthouse was only a 15 to 20 min drive.
