What is Saskatoon? A berry? If so what is it like?

Since Minnesota I find it hard to find gooseberries. Anyone here fond of them?

Last week I was gone shopping for two hours and returned to find my three rhubarb plants leveled. A new tenant was told taking some would be fine so she took it all for her mom's pie making. I hate rhubarb pie but love rhubarb.

Saskatoon berries are similar to blueberries, but the grow on bigger bushes.
