Those were definitely great memories....USAF, ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND. Here's another photo from up there....that's me in the middle with a couple great friends.
I went over there in February, 1952 and left in November, 1953 after they announced that the "Korean War" was over.......given the opportunity of getting out or staying in...I got out and started college in the second semester at WVIT, W.Va.......probably best time of my life.....and, I didn't know it....I always wonder if I should have stayed in....photo on the steps of the "Courthouse" in downtown St. John's, Newfoundland..
Very cool man. Hah, my next contract's end is in 2013, and it's kind of the junction of "If I stay in, I'm definitely doing 20" and "Get out and start something else." I'm sure I'll look back on whatever decision I do make and think about what the other side would've been like. We all do!

At the end of this one I guess it'll be about 7. So yeah, if I re-enlist, I'll be shortly over the hump - and then they've got me for the long haul. I've thought that, if I do decide to stay in, that I certainly wouldn't stay in the Corps for all 20. 20 years in the Corps will make a very very grumpy old man.

haha, honestly, if I re-up, I'll probably end up doing that. I've got some really good friends in the AF, and I think it'd make me a lot less angry... well, or a lot more angry - but I hope less angry
