Things That Used To Have Meaning

Since, in general, we can get our hands on just about anything now I was curious to know what things years ago used to be common that are no longer used.

I'm not looking for "U.S. Constitution" or "Common Sense". I mean actual objects, for instance an icebox. I'd say that used to be fairly common and you don't see them anymore.

So why don't all of you old guys teach us young 'ins a thing or two. If you've got some stories that would be great too! Let's make this a fun thread.

My grandfather had one in his garage for along time but it's at the dump now. I can't really think of anyhting from back in the day I would want.

This is a big one. I remember in high school I didn't have a phone and my mom would always get mad when I wouldn't call to tell her where I was if I was out.

She'd always rant about learning to use a payphone but I don't think she realized they're almost impossible to find now lol
