Time Change

Is anyone else PUMPED for the time change? Can't wait to finally get outside again after work. Its so depressing in the winter when it completely dark when I leave work.

It is pretty excellent to get the extra hour of sunlight. I hate it being dark at 5pm over winter.

I didn't realize it was so close, but yeah now I'm pumped! I'd much rather have it light out at night than in the morning. Something psychological about seeing darkness outside and connecting it with the middle of the night makes me just want to go to bed.

It'll definitely be nice to have the extra hour of daylight after work so I won't have to jog in the dark.

Does anyone else think that switching the clock back and forth is just a waste?

It is a pain in the butt changing all of the clocks, but I have to agree with Chemiker that I'd rather have the light in the evening than in the morning. All winter I want to go to bed at 5 because it is already pitch black outside...

Yup

If it saves energy I think it's worth it but the original intent is dated.

I also think it is a waste (and dated).... My wife hates it. It is difficult to readjust the sleeping schedule for small children. I do like having more daylight in the evening...

It just occurred to me that the greatest benefit of DST is the reminder to change the batteries in smoke detectors.
