Well Mark … 2-3 weeks ago I loaded a platform for FOREX delivery on my computer, beginning speculating with gold using my imaginary account (demo account) (I am not so sure about terms – it is another field of knowledge).
After several days of trading, one morning I found out all my “long positions” were closed with a nice profit I was set them … I can say I woke up rich … imaginary …

I am also ready to buy some gold in order to hedge against this economy. Mine won't be imaginary, so I may have some sleepless nights in the near future.

I am sure 1/3 to 2/5 of the funds would be nice to be in gold. 14 - 15 October was very proper to buy a little ... now the gold price is going up and market turbulence is big ... but ... here we have not such problems ...

Here (and not only) specialists say that silver is the best, because its price is underrated strongly in the moment. I see there is an expectation of great increasing of silver price (related to gold price) - I am hearing this last 2-3 years, but in fact it does not happen. In BG for “physical persons” delivering with real silver load on its price 20% when buy it because of taxation, it is because only firms – “juridical persons” do it – for them there is a way to reduce this value.

What about platinum and palladium I see that the last year both them change them price in the same way like gold. Here nobody speaks about great change in the relation of the prices of platinum and palladium versus gold. It is expected only for silver, which in fact refuses firmly to come true.

Hearing and reading of all that last years, I see that nobody can predict what it will happen on the precious metals market -remember, September – October 2012 all the specialists expected that the price of gold in the end of 2012 will exceed $2000 for 1 oz.

I believe, that the best situation would be, if money you do not intend to spend next 3-4 years to save as gold coins. Turning the money in gold usually is connected with some loss. But surely after 3,4 and more years the gold will be gold, while money may be simply paper.

I believe, that for amount up to $10 000 – 20 000 appropriate gold coins are 1/5, oz, up to $100 000 – 1oz coins. There is a big choice of gold coins new and used, I think the best are these ones, which: 1)have not a numismatic price; 2)which are cheapest comparing with ones having the same weight and gold % and 3)which have the smallest difference in prices buy/sale.

For example, in BG I see such coins are Austrian 1 oz “Vienna philharmonу” . China, USA, Canada, South Africa and Australia coins are more expensive maybe because of transport expenses.

My biggest fear here is one day gold will be up $20 an ounce, and the next day it will be down $25, so it is hard to guess what day gold will be down to buy, and hope the very next day the price jumps. This way you won't have the feeling that you have already suffered a loss.

Yes Mark. Just that is the problem. The turbulence of the gold price (and not only) on the market is great – not only now, although there are relatively long periods when its price is relatively stable, or the price trend is relatively stable – down or up.

When deliver with “paper gold” it is not so great problem, on contrary, just that makes the game interesting – if you have enough patience, always is possible to wait for the right for you gold price (God must be in each case by your side). For example, 20 days ago, when the gold price was going down with a great speed, I bought regularly gold – 30 oz per position in relatively equal differences of price – it was 8 – 13 October. At one moment I was $ 8000 below my initial imaginary capital. For all of my long positions I have set the same high value (higher than the price of my first position) at which all my positions to be closed automatically, and one morning I found out that I am $5000 over my initial capital.

With the real gold it is not possible, it is quite different, and always when you buy real gold, for the moment you will lose a little – that is a rule for 90% of cases. Look – 10 days ago the oz was $1270, now it is $1370, who knows – after 10 days it can be $1470. Nobody knows. Notice! As a rule, the specialists are garrulous always after events have happened! Most of prognostications are for a price of 1450/oz in the end of the year … but … we will see!!!

It is because, I think when you buy real gold, for a shorter or longer time period you will always lose a little – maybe 10%, maybe 15%. It is valid for all of us ordinary people having no information, or having only yesterday’s information. So, do it only for your funds you do not intend to spend next 3-4 or more years, being in agreement with yourselves you will lose a little in the moment. God only knows what it will happen tomorrow or 5 years later, but I know, I am sure – the gold will be gold.

Never mind guys! I have begun arranging my next summer. It seems 25 May – 2 June and 15 – 23 June I will tour !!!!!!! It makes me happy !!!! And the perfect weather here is continuing … yesterday I bicycled 60 kilometers, this afternoon – again !
