Best place to eat in Akron/Canton area?

Grew up in Canton/Massillon, currently living in North Canton. While there are many options for good quality food within minutes of our house in belden village sometimes it's nice to eat at some of those family run restaurants that have not been commercialized.

One of the places we like to frequent is Mama Guzzardi's. Very good italian food in the way of salad, bread and pasta of virtually all kinds. Excellent service and great food.

We welcome any suggestions for all kinds of food.

There are two places you MUST go to. Luigi's and Bricco. They are both downtown and they are the best!! Look them up you will not be sad.

My wife and I really like the food over at Bravo! right behind the mall in Belden Village. I recommend the grilled chicken salad.

Diamond Deli on S Main between Cedar and Exchange. Best, huge sandwiches in town. Highly recommend their Reubens, as well as their homemade soups. No "foodservice" crap here!

I really enjoy Angello's (across from Central Catholic High School). Great food, good prices and their homemade bread is amazing. There pizzas are great too.

If you drive north towards Ravenna there is a amazing restaurant called Arnie's it is a steak house and has been family owned and operated for nearly 40 years. Food is great and while the building does not look like much from the outside If you are into finding diamonds in the rough this is truly one of them.

In Akron - don't miss the tomatoe/cheese soup at Crave or anything from Russo's in Boston Heights.

Russo's has fabulous food prepared froma Cajun type background.
