Seems like many of these only focus on the big cities when it is the smaller towns and areas that feed the big cities. Definitely not one to say I love a big city.

The Mt Vernon Theatre is starting a fund raising effort to renovate the art deco theatre to be opened this time next year. The house will currently hold 750 people. Has an ample stage however the renovation will add wing space, dressing rooms, and storage.

If visiting Auburn University and wanting a bit of a different atmosphere than the typical hotel room. The Guest house in Tallassee is just what you are looking for. 1946 craftsman styled Guest House formerly owned by the Mt Vernon Mill for the Management and executives to be entertained along with their guests. This is a rustic entertainment lodge of 7 bedrooms with ensuite baths. works as a sans bed and breakfast.
