So, I have a 1988 YJ with a 2.5 and stock every thing. I run 31x10.5 15's. It's no power house but I'll damn near take her any place. I call her Monster Jeep as a joke. My wheelin' buddy has a 1994 (I think) XJ which is basically store bought. I mean that he bought it with all the goodies on it such as Warn winch, lockers, lift, etc. None of which works because he has them all disconnected for some dang reason! He is almost the complete opposite of me. He is overly cautious and is almost a mechanical hypochondriac. Every time we go out he thinks he broke something or is about to. He's cool as heck though and I wouldn't trade the little turd for nothing! SO we went out to Douglas today just to survey a bit. We really didn't plan on doing anything but drive around but you know that goes. There is a creek people go down into and I did once but walk the section first. DK is too much of a wuss to take his fake jeep (that's what I call his XJ and it pisses him off) down in there and since I don't have a winch yet I just avoid a potential problem.
He decided to run through an almost dried out pit. Of course after he went I did it (I'll take mine just about any place like I said) and made it through on the second try. It took him several tries. He claims he cleared the way for me with his diff. Hell, he may have, I don't know. Anyway here is a of pic of a truck we saw out there. There were several motorcycles and 4 four wheelers out today as well. I'm going to try to add a couple of short clips too. Hopefully I get them in order. There was also another jeep out there that was built up with a 350 in it.
