Pecan Selling in Oklahoma

I was told by a friend of mine in Texas that he picks pecans up every year then drives them up to Oklahoma, cause the price he gets for them up there is amazing. I honestly can't see how. Any truth to that?

With the number of pecan trees here in Oklahoma I just can't see why anyone here would pay premium prices for imported pecans. My grandpa used to have a cane pole about 20' long and would use it to knock pecans out of trees. We never needed to buy any.

I agree! There are alot of pecan trees around Oklahoma! Everytime the pecans are ready to sell you see people everywhere selling them!

Hi y'all

Pecans are a dime a dozen(when sold). I've never had to pay for them.
But Pecan firewood is of more value than most anything else because of the demand.

I never pay just pick them up beside the road too many on public property free.
