Maxwell's? Are you kidding me? If you are referring to Maxwell's that was located at the base of the pier, The tore it down the last time they rebuilt the pier. They closed it sometime in 1995!

However it was a cool place with a "Rat Pack" type feel to it before it went. You almost expected Frank Sinatara to walk in at any time.

I live so close to Slaters 50/50, I can't believe I've never heard of it. Lived here for almost 20 years now. After googling them, it sounds great. Will be trying them soon.

Thai Princess on Beach Blvd and Heil. Its in same lot as Target and Pavilions

Also try out Lazy Dog Cafe. they have a really good "Blue Burger" and pork chops

Best Italian in HB.

Mangia Mangia on Goldenwest and Edinger in Huntington Beach.

The regular menu is good, but the specials are heavenly!

Salmon Basilica, Ravioli de Zucca are my two favorites.
If I'm not feeling that special, their house pasta hits the spot.

Make sure to save room for dessert, because their Tiramisu is out of this WORLD!
I didn't even like Tiramisu until I tried this one- if you couldn't save room, get it to go and eat it at home.
Don't let it sit too long though, fresh is the best. They make it daily, you can tell with the first bite.

Fish in a Bottle, Cypress is easily some of the best sushi in the area, and their fusion rolls are delicious!
