Bend

I used to live in Bend about eight years ago. Just wondering what it has turned into now?

well, something like 50 restaurants closed at the beginning of the recession...construction ground to a crawl...not the Bend you remember, I am sure. Still plenty of life left, though.
I run my 58 Willys wagon between Eugene and Sisters/Bend about once a month when the roads are clear.

Bend is about 75,000 in population now, don't know what it was 8 years ago.

Fond memories of skiing at Mt. Bachelor...not much skiing here in Georgia, except water skiing. How is the ski business?

My wife's aunt and uncle live just outside Bend. She had not visited them in years when we went there about 4 years ago. She said the city really grew outward. Prob not the way you remember it either.

Well Gent's, come on back to see for yourselves what Bend has become, California plates everywhere, and Gangsta's/tweekers all over the place, SAD.
