Coleman Instant Tent 6 - Anyone with Experience

Looking at the Coleman I T 6. Don't have a need for a 300 dollar tent and this one looks like it would be good for the quick overnighter for 1-2 or the weeklong getaway.
Has anyone used / have this tent ?

Thanks,
Matt

No experience with Coleman tents. If you buy cheap have a tarp under and over the tent.

Thats a nice tent, but I am looking at a 6 person to be able to have 2-3 cots inside for sleeping when needed.

I doubt you can buy a tent that large you could trust in heavy wind or rain. The thrift stores and Goodwills are full of "only used once" cheap tents.

cots? an inflatable mattress would be more comfortable. Of course if you're in snake country off the ground may be just the ticket.

I actually prefer sleeping on a cot over an air mattress. Air mattress' tend to lose air and become uncomfortable. Never had that problem with a cot.
The Instant tent claims to be set up in a minute and taken down the same.

I like a sleeping foam, about 2 inches thick myself.
My tent is just a 2 person Northface brand, so I cannot help with info on the coleman tent, sorry.

That tent actually seems to be getting mostly good reviews on Amazon. Only real complaints I could see were wimpy tent pegs (easy to remedy that) and that the tent gets hot because it doesn't have a fly.

I wouldn't use it for the type of camping I do, but it looks like a great tent for the price to me.

Good air mattresses are really expensive but they don't flatten overnight.

I'm guessing the "instant tent" is the one you throw in the air and it lands as a tent.
