for the past few years I have been itching to get back into ice fishing..maybe this is the year..

i do go fishing in the warm months too..not as often as i would like though. you know how it is - you either have time or money...never both at the same time.

Yes, I certainly did and I couldn't believe my eyes....I think they were "Asian Carp" and another species that was brought to this country.......

I found this video of them........just amazing and they have "hurt" many folks that are boating at the time........

The asian carp work as good bait and its easy to fill the boat when they can fly.

From I-81, take exit 60 and turn east on Rt. 90 (Cedar Springs Road) toward Rural Retreat. The Sportsman's Lodge is 10 1/2 miles from the interstate. Drive through the town of Rural Retreat and continue for several miles.

Our first sign is located on the left side of the road at the intersection of Cedar Springs Road and (you guessed it) Cedar Springs Road.

The building will clue you in to where it is and the ship moored at the pier is the Bounty which sank a few years ago..
