The problem actually wasn't the trigger it self, it was the safety.

When the jewell trigger system 1st came out when you disengaged the safety it would
discharge the weapon. But now that they have fixed that, again, it is one of the best
trigger systems on the market.

I would go with the .308 Win. over the .375 H&H Mag. if your going to use it only for target shooting. Heck, I still go with the .308 Win. even if your going to be hunting most North American game.

Also, with the .308 Win. cal., you could have it rebarreled when the barrel is worn out to .260 Rem. which is truely much better at long range than the .308 Win.

Yeah but a .375 H&H Mag can hit a target well over 2,000 yards away.

Well then if your going to be gettin' into that distance of shooting may I suggest something in a .338 Lapua. It has far superior B.C. and exterior ballistic properties than the .375 H&H. Don't get me wrong the .375 H&H IMO has it's place but is not the best cartridge when it comes to the long range endovour. What the .375 H&H has is tremendous ft. lbs. impact energy to get through those really thick hided, hard bodied critters.
