If you're out in the suburbs there's a place Hatboro called Silvios that's amazing.

Steve's Prince of Steaks is high up on my list. Can't say I have a favorite. Never been a big fan of Jim's though.

The Roxborough steak shops are all solid, but I prefer chubby's.

Funny thing about the "best cheesesteak" debate is that most of these places are good, if not great, so it's all about what you like or where you grew up going.

I still love Pat's even if it is swamped with tourists. Wiz wit all day.

Jim's or Tony Lukes are the best in my opinion.

completely agree. Any decent place isn't going to make a bad steak.

Born and bred Roxborough. I would love to throw Delessandro's a bone but I have to say Jim's Steaks...4th and South.

Pat's and Geno's are absolute garbage!!!

It occurs to me that the best place to get a cheesesteak is the place where you know one of the cats workin' the grill. No matter how good the stuff is, if you know the guy makin' the sammy, you get the works. I virtually always go to one place (I live out in the sticks) even though there are two places closer 'cause I know my buddy is workin' the grill there. If I know he's not workin', the nearest joint will do.

Jus' sayin'...

Tony Luke's is by far my favorite. However I do enjoy getting the cheese fries from Pat's.
