What is the best, local, authentic Mexican food restaurant in town?

My favorite is Los Dos Molinos. It's on Alma School Just north of Broadway in Mesa. I have a similar thread with other options listed in other areas of the valley.

I second Los Dos Molinos in Mesa or Phoenix as most authentic and by far the hottest (although they also have mild dishes...check with them if you don't want to deal with the burn). But you can also find a great experience at Tia Rosa's on McKellips in Mesa, between Lindsey and Val Vista. Personally, I usually eat at Julio Too's on Val Vista just north of Baseline in Mesa. May not be authentic, but it's good!

Have to agree with the Los Dos recomendation. Outstanding food, very authentic and very hot if you like it that way. LOVE Los Dos.

I usually go to Filibertos for Mexican food. It's more of a fast food place but I still love it.

If you are in the East Valley, check out El Zocalo in Downtown Chandler. Be sure to sit on the back patio.

You can't go wrong with Los Dos Molinos as mentioned!
